23 January 2017 - Bolam Lake, Northumberland.
This morning we visited Bolam Lake in Northumberland for a walk around the lake.
The first three photos below are views of swans and geese at the jetty on the north side of the lake followed by a view of swans being fed on the other side of the lake.
The fifth photo is a view along the footpath around the lake and the last photo Is a view of nearby Bolam Church.

13 January 2017 - Bothal, Northumberland.
This morning we walked to Bothal, where there was a light covering of snow following overnight showers
Although there was not much snow it was enough to bring traffic to a standstill on the steep bank leading from Bothal to Guidepost, as seen in the first two photos below. The third photo shows an overturned trailer that had been on the roadside for a while and was not a victim of the snow
The fourth photo is a view of Bothal Castle and the last photo is a view of light snow on the fields between Bothal and Pegswood.

11 January 2017 - Bothal, Northumberland.
This afternoon we walked through the woods to Bothal, returning along the road to Pegswood.
The first two photos below are views taken in Bothal Woods, followed by a view along the road in Bothal Village looking towards the bottom of Bothal Bank.

This afternoon we walked through Pegswood Country Park to the lake, just before sunset.
