16 January 2016 - Ashington Community Woods, Northumberland.
This morning we walked through Ashington Community Woods on the north side of the town. It was frosty and there were still some patches of snow from earlier in the week.
The first photo below is a view of the small pond in the woods which was frozen over, followed by a view of the lake at Haydon Letch which was also partly frozen.
The last three photos are views along the frozen footpath beside the old railway from Ashington to Linton.
