11 February 2016 - Ashington Community Woods, Northumberland.
This morning we visited Ashington for a walk through the Community Woods on the north side of the town.
The first two photos below are views of a pond in the woods and the board walk that leads to it. The next photo is a view from one of the footpaths of nearby wind turbines and chimneys at the former Alcan smelter.
The last two photos are views of swans on the lake at Haydon Letch in the Woods.
