29 September 2015 - QEII Country Park and Woodhorn Museum, Ashington, Northumberland.
Today we visited QEII Country Park and walked around the lake to Woodhorn Colliery Museum, where the weeping window poppy display was being held.
The first two photos below are views of the poppies which were cascading from the pithead winding gear.
The third photo is a view of flags on the platform and a diesel engine on the track at Museum Halt Station, Woodhorn.
The fourth photo is a view of a train on it's way from Lakeside Halt to Museum Halt and the last photo is a view across the lake at QEII Country Park.
