16 September 2015 - Stroan Loch, Galloway Forest Park, Scotland.
This afternoon after we visited Clatteringshaws Loch we drove along the Raiders Road Forest Drive through Galloway Forest Park to Loch Ken and back to New Galloway. Along the way we stopped at Stroan Loch to take some photos of the loch and Stroan Viaduct which used to carry the railway from Dumfries to Newton Stewart and Stranraer.
The first photo below is a view of Stroan Loch from Stroan Viaduct followed by a view of the viaduct itself. The third photo is a view along the viaduct followed by a view of strong reflections in the loch below.
The last photo is a view of the River Dee as it flows from Stroan Loch to Loch Ken a few miles away.
