10 September 2015 - Ashington Community Woodland, Northumberland.
This morning we went for a walk in Ashington Community Woodland, following a circular route to Haydon Letch and returning along the old railway.
The first photo below is a view of the signpost at the entrance to the woods followed by a view of Haydon Letch, the lake in the middle of the woods.
The last three photos are views of the disused railway between Ashington and New Moor that passes through the woodland. Will it ever be opened again to provide passenger services from Ashington to Morpeth?
