08 October 2015 - Wylam, Northumberland.
Today we walked along the old railway line from Newburn in Tyne & Wear to Wylam in Northumberland. The former railway is now a footpath and cycleway and passes through Wylam and across the River Tyne at Hagg Bank Bridge.
The first photo below is a view of the River Tyne from the road bridge at Wylam, followed by a view further along the river at Hagg Bank Bridge.
The third photo is a view of Wylam Village and the war memorial and the fourth photo is a view of Wylam Station with a passenger train at the westbound platform.
The last photo is a view beside the riverside footpath from Newburn to Wylam where the trees were turning golden with autumn colour.
