Les + Jan Bell - Photographers Diary - August 2015
25 August 2015 - Rothbury, Northumberland.

This morning we went for a walk on the moors above Rothbury where the heather was in full bloom creating a purple carpet over miles of ground.

The first photo below is a view along the footpath through the heather towards the cairn seen in the second photo.

The third photo is a view along the old carriage drive built for Lord Armstrong and the fourth photo is a view towards the Cheviot Hills.

The last photo is a view of two cyclists who passed us along the track heading down towards Rothbury.
