29 October 2014 - Sunrise at Blyth, Northumberland.
This morning we visited Blyth on the Northumberland Coast to take photos from the pier at sunrise. It turned out to be a spectacular sunrise as the clouds created stunning red sky as the sun was rising.
Shortly after sunrise a ship arrived so we stayed to take photos of it entering the River Blyth and then went further upstream to Bates Jetties to take a few more photos.

26 October 2014 - Pegswood, Northumberland.
This afternoon we walked through Pegswood Community Country Park to the lake and through the woods to the Whorral Bank. This path crosses the route of what will soon be the Morpeth northern bypass road.

24 October 2014 - Coney Garth, Ashington, Northumberland.
This morning we were travelling along the road from Ashington to Bothal when the sky over the small lake at Coney Garth was very dark.
The sun appeared briefly so we stopped the car and took some photos with a compact camera we had with us. The four photos below are views across the lake taken from the roadside.

This afternoon we walked through Ashington Community Woodland to the lake at Haydon Letch.

This afternoon we took a short walk through Queen Elizabeth II Country Park to Woodhorn Museum

This morning we walked to Bothal to take a few photos of the first colours of autumn.

01 October 2014 - Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland Coast.
This evening we visited Berwick to take some photos from the Old Bridge. The first photo below is a view from Berwick to Tweedmouth with Berwick Old Bridge on the left and the Royal Tweed Bridge on the right.
The next two photos are views of the Royal Tweed Bridge with the floodlit arches of the Royal Border Bridge seen reflecting in the River Tweed.

01 October 2014 - Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland Coast.
This afternoon we walked from Spittal to Berwick town centre. After visiting the shops we walked along the Elizabethan Ramparts and back down to the River Tweed at Pier Road.
