18 July 2013 - Bothal, Northumberland.
This morning we walked through the fields to Bothal, down to the River Wansbeck at Bothal stepping stones and then to Bothal weir.
The first two photos below are views along the footpath through the fields, looking back towards the farm and cottages. The next photo is a view of reflections in the River Wansbeck, taken from the stepping stones, followed by a view of Bothal Village.
The fifth photo is a view of the River Wansbeck at Bothal Weir and the last photo is a roadside view between Bothal and Pegswood.

03 July 2013 - River Coquet, Amble, Northumberland.
This evening we walked along Warkworth Beach to the north side of the River Coquet and Amble North Breakwater.
The first two photos below are views to the mouth of the River Coquet between the pier and breakwater at Amble. The third photo is a view across the old mooring jetties to Amble Quayside where work on repairs to the damaged quay was in progress.
The last two photos are views of some large sailing yachts that were visiting Amble, moored at the quayside.

01 July 2013 - Bothal, Northumberland.
This evening we walked to Bothal as the sun was setting at the end of a hot day. The first photo below is a view of Bothal Castle followed by a view across the fields beside the road to Pegswood.
The last two photos are views of the sun setting over Pegswood Village Institute and adjacent cottages.
