30 November 2012 - Wansbeck Riverside Park, Sheepwash.
This morning we visited Sheepwash for a walk along the River Wansbeck as far as the Black Bridge railway viaduct and back again. It was a beautiful sunny morning with the previous night's hard frost glistening in the sunshine on the riverbank.
The first two photos below are views taken near the car park and playground area beside the now closed caravan park. The next two photos are views taken near Stakeford Bridge where the trees were still full of Autumn colour.
The last photo is a view of the "Black Bridge" railway viaduct across the River Wansbeck on the mineral line to Ashington and Lynemouth.

This afternoon we visited the Queen Elizabeth II Country Park at Ashington for a walk around the lake. It was a dull day so we didn't take many photos.

11 November 2012 - Spittal, Northumberland.
This afternoon we walked along the beach at Spittal and up to the cliffs at the south end of the promenade. It was a dull day and quite cold but there were lots of people out for a Sunday afternoon walk like us.
The first photo below is a view looking down onto the promenade and beach from the path up to the cliffs.
The next two photos are views of Spittal Beach where a lot of driftwood was washed up, having come down the River Tweed in recent heavy rainfall.
The fourth photo is a view from the beach looking towards Berwick Pier and the last photo is a view of a fishing boat entering the River Tweed - the same boat we took photos of the previous day from Berwick.

04 November 2012 - Bothal, Northumberland.
Driving through Bothal yesterday we saw that the red Acer tree in front of the church was a blaze of colour, so we decided to return this morning with a camera.
The first two photos below are views of the church and war memorial taken on a sunny, frosty morning. After leaving the church we walked along towards the sawmill - frost was still thick below the trees along the riverbank as seen in the third photo. The fourth photo is a view along the track from the sawmill where the frost was still very thick, as seen in the next photo of one of the old buildings.
The last photo is a view of thee horses standing in a sunny corner of their field along the road to Pegswood.

In the fourth photo a vessel to be used for offshore wind turbine construction was still in the same position off the coast as it had been for a couple of weeks.
