28 March 2012 - Alnmouth Walk, Northumberland.
After we visited Warkworth today we decided to take advantage of the fine weather and visit Alnmouth for a walk along the beach. Daffodils were also blooming along the riverside and can be seen in most of the views below.
The first photo below is a view looking towards the mouth of the River Aln, followed by two views looking up the river where boats are moored, as seen in the fourth photo. The last photo is a view looking down the path to the beach from the road.

28 March 2012 - Warkworth, Northumberland.
This morning we visited Warkworth for a walk along the River Coquet through the village to Warkworth Castle where the famous daffodils were in full bloom.
The first four photos below are views of the castle and daffodils and the last photo is a view of Saint Lawrence Church in the village.

This morning on our way to Warkworth we stopped at Widdrington Village to take some photos of the United Reformed Church which always has a good display of daffodils, as seen in the two photos below.

22 March 2012 - Newbiggin, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited Newbiggin to take a few photos for our Northumberland photo website.

11 March 2012 - Blyth, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited for a walk along the beach to the harbour. On the way we spotted a cable laying ship, the European Supporter moored in the river so we stopped to take some photos. It is seen in the first photo below. The next four photos are views of the south beach and piers.

01 March 2012 - Woodhorn Museum, Northumberland.
Today we visited Woodhorn Museum at the old Woodhorn Colliery on the outskirts of Ashington, Northumberland. We were surprised at how interesting and well set out the exhibitions are. It is well worth a visit.
The first two photos below are views of the narrow gauge railway track from the museum past the lake in Queen Elizabeth II Country Park. The third photo is a view of the railway where it enters the museum grounds. The last two photos are views of the old pit head winding gear, engine houses and other buildings, most of which can be viewed inside.
