26 October 2011 - Alnmouth, Northumberland.
This afternoon after leaving Alnwick we visited nearby Alnmouth for a walk along the beach and riverside.
The first photo below is a view of Alnmouth Beach at high tide, followed by a view of the mouth of the River Aln. The third photo is a view across the river to Church Hill followed by a view of boats moored on the river.
The last photo is a view of Duchess Bridge at high tide with the water level almost up to the riverside footpath.

Today we visited Alnwick and took some photos around the town centre while we were there.
The first two photos are views of Saint Michael's Church and Saint Paul's Catholic Church followed by a view of the Percy Tenantry Column. The fourth photo is a view of the Market Place followed by a view of the entrance to Alnwick Castle.

22 October 2011 - Coney Garth, Northumberland.
While out for a cycle ride this evening we passed some cattle grazing at Coney Garth. Some of them were knee deep in the water having a drink, with their reflections looking up at them. Below are three photos of them taken with a compact camera.

18 October 2011 - Warkworth, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited Warkworth for a walk around the village and along the River Coquet.
The first photo below is a view in the middle of the village beside the Hermitage in, followed by a view of St. Lawrence Church.
The next two photos are views of the castle and the last photo is a view along the footpath beside the River Coquet.

11 October 2011 - Linton Lane Nature Reserve, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited Linton Lane Nature Reserve to take some photos for our Northumberland website.
There are two ponds at this nature reserve, each with bird watching hides. The first three photos below are views of the east pond and the fourth photo is a view of the west pond. The last photo is a view of some geese that took off from one of the lakes while we were taking photos.
