25 October 2016 - Blyth, Northumberland Coast.
Today we visited Blyth on the Northumberland coast for a short walk along the quayside.
The first photo below is a view across the River Blyth followed by a view along the river past the Blyth Lifeboat at it's moorings.

18 October 2016 - Bothal, Northumberland.
Today we walked to Bothal in Northumberland.
The first two photos below are views of Bothal Castle, followed by a view of the road to Bothal Village.
The fourth photo is a view of Bothal Bank where fallen leaves were lining the roadside and the last photo is a view of horses grazing in a field between Bothal and Pegswood.

13 October 2016 - Newbiggin, Northumberland Coast.
Today we visited Newbiggin on a dull afternoon for short walk at the south end of the bay.
The first photo below is a view from Newbiggin to Cambois and North Blyth followed by two views across Newbiggin Bay to the Church Point.
The last photo is a view of a lone sea angler on the beach at Newbiggin.

05 October 2016 - Bowness on Windermere, Lake District, Cumbria.
Today we visited Bowness on Windermere in the Lake District for a walk along the lake to the shops..
The first two photos below are views of Lake Windermere from the shore beside the steamer pier at Bowness, followed by three views looking across the bay to the pier and jetties.

03 October 2016 - Maryport Harbour, Lighthouse and Pier, Cumbria.
Today we visited Maryport on the Cumbrian Coast for a walk around the harbour to the lighthouse and pier.
The first two photos below are views of the pier and entrance to Maryport Harbour followed by a view of the lighthouse.
The fourth and fifth photos are views of fishing boats moored in Elizabeth Dock. and the last photo is a view of boats moored in Maryport Marina.

02 October 2016 - River Caldew Valley Walk - Lake District, Cumbria.
Today we went for a walk up the River Caldew Valley towards Skiddaw House in the lake District. After driving up the narrow road from Mosedale we managed to find a parking spot at the end of the road.
The first three photos are views looking back down the River Caldew Valley from the footpath to Skiddaw House. The fourth photo is a view of one of the few trees above this footpath.
The last two photos are views of Wiley Gill and the footbridge where the footpath crosses it.
