This afternoon we walked into Alnwick town centre after our walk in Hulne Park.

The first two photos below are views of Saint Michael's Church, which we passed on the way into the town. The third photo is a view of Alnwick Market, followed by views of the Shambles and Fenkle Street.

23 June 2016 - Hulne Park, Alnwick, Northumberland

This morning we visited Alnwick for a walk in Hulne Park. The park is part of the estate owned by the Duke of Northumberland and waymarked paths and roads are open to the public for most of the year during certain hours.

The first two photos below are views along the main road through the park followed by a view towards Hulne Priory.

The fourth photo is a view of some of the Rhododendrons growing along the roadside, although they were past their best when we visited. The last photo is a view of the main entrance to the park.

21 June 2016 - Sheepwash, Northumberland

This evening we visited Wansbeck Riverside Park for a walk along the River Wansbeck between Stakeford Bridge and Sheepwash Weir.

The first photo below is a view of the River Wansbeck near Sheepwash followed by a view of Sheepwash Weir.

The next photo is a photo of a swan with her cygnets - this is the swan that built her nest below Sheepwash Bridge.

The next two photos are views of the "Black Bridge" railway viaduct across the River Wansbeck and Stakeford Road Bridge.

14 June 2016 - Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall, Murray's Monument and Clatteringshaws Loch, Galloway Forest Park, Scotland.

This afternoon after we visited Kirroughtree Visitor Centre we visited the Grey Mare's Tail Waterfall, Murray's Monument and Clatteringshaws Loch on the road back to New Galloway.

14 June 2016 - Big Bruntis Loch Walk, Kirroughtree, Galloway Forest Park, Scotland.

This afternoon we visited Kirroughtree Visitor Centre and followed one of the waymarked walks to Bruntis Loch (Big Bruntis Trail). This was a great walk through the forest and is obviously very popular.

12 June 2016 - Clatteringshaws Loch, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland.

This afternoon after we visited Clatteringshaws Loch between New Galloway and Newton Stewart in Scotland.

This afternoon after we took a short walk from the caravan site where we were staying into the village of New Galloway in Scotland.

This afternoon after we left Wigtown we stopped off at Newton Stewart for a quick look around the shops and a walk along the river.

This afternoon we visited Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway - small town noted for it's many book shops.

09 June 2016 - Lochinvar, St. John's Town of Dalry and New Galloway in Scotland.

This afternoon we went for a short drive from New Galloway to the nearby Lochinvar Loch and St. John's Town of Dalry.
