20 December 2015 - Cresswell, Northumberland.
This evening we visited Cresswell beach as there were predictions of seeing the Northern Lights. Unfortunately for most of the early evening there was extensive cloud cover, but just before we were leaving the cloud cleared and the aurora could be seen.
The first photo below is a view of the northern lights seen from the car park above the beach, on the left is the static caravan park that overlooks the beach.
The next two photos are views from Cresswell Beach looking south where the sky was a bit clearer. In the last view Taurus the Bull can be seen in the night sky.
