30 September 2014 - Spittal, Northumberland Coast.

This morning we went for a walk along Spittal Beach and the mouth of the River Tweed on the Northumberland Coast.

The first photo below is a view from the beach at Spittal looking towards Berwick Pier. The second photo is a view along the beach looking towards Pier Road in Berwick.

The third photo is a view across the sandbar at the mouth of the River Tweed and the fourth photo is a view across the river to Berwick.

This morning we went for a walk around the lake at QEII Country Park, Ashington in Northumberland.

This morning we went for a walk in Ashington Community Woodland in Northumberland.

10 September 2014 - Simonside Hills near Rothbury, Northumberland.

This morning we went for a walk in the Simonside Hills near Rothbury, Northumberland.

The first two photos below are views along the track to Simonside Crags. The next two photos are from the viewpoint and seats below the crags, where the cheviot Hills can be seen on clear days.

02 September 2014 - Newcastle upon Tyne.

This afternoon we visited Newcastle for a walk along the River Tyne, across the Swing Bridge to Gateshead and back across the High Level Bridge.

The first photo below is a view across the Swing Bridge from Gateshead to Newcastle, followed by two views from the High Level Bridge.
