11 September 2012 - Cresswell Beach, Northumberland.

This afternoon we took a short walk along Cresswell Beach to take some photos for our Northumberland photo website.

The first photo below is a view looking north from the rocks near Snab Point, followed by a view looking south - a lot of sea coal on the beach today. The next two photos are views from the rock pools at the north end of the beach followed by a view looking south along the beach.

03 September 2012 - Blyth, Northumberland.

This afternoon we visited Blyth for a walk along the beach to the South Harbour. It was very busy and we had to make a couple of circuits of the South Beach car park before we found a space.

We walked along to the section of beach between the piers where we found a strange sight - a sunflower growing in the sand. It is seen in the first photo below which is followed by another view of a yacht leaving the river.

Looking in the opposite direction a gigantic new wind turbine dwarfs the existing turbines and now dominates the views of the river. It can be seen in the fourth and fifth photos below, taken at the South Harbour and in the last photo which is a view up the River Blyth.
