22 May 2012 - Simonside Hills Walk, Northumberland.
This morning we went walking in the Simonside Hills in Northumberland. It was very warm and sunny, even on higher ground.
The first photo below is a view to Simonside Crags taken from the track leading to Harwood Forest. The second photo is a view of some of the many log stacks alongside the track.
The third photo is a view from the seats and viewpoint below the crags, followed by a view of some nearby tree felling operations. The last photo is a view of the track from Simonside Forest car park leading up to the crags.

22 May 2012 - Rothbury, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited the village of Rothbury in Northumberland which is always a very popular and busy place. today was no exception with very few available parking places.

14 May 2012 - Hexham, Northumberland.
This afternoon after a business visit to Hexham we took some photos around the Market Place, Abbey and park.
The first two photos below are views of Hexham Abbey, taken from the path alongside the bowling greens in the park. The third photo is a view of Hexham House and the fourth photo is a view along the burn that runs through the park. The last photo is a view taken from the Market Place in the town centre.

12 May 2012 - Bothal, Northumberland.
This afternoon we walked to Bothal in late afternoon sunshine. The trees and hedgerows were looking much greener and more like spring. Below are three photos of Bothal Castle, followed by two photos taken along the road between Bothal and Pegswood.
