28 August 2012 - Cresswell, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited Cresswell for a short walk along the beach. It wasn't the warmest of days but there were still some folk sitting on the sand and kids playing in the water.
The first photo below is a view looking down to the beach from one of the roadside car parks. The next two photos are views looking in both directions along the beach and the last two photos are views from the rocks at the south end of the beach.

20 August 2012 - Morpeth, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited Morpeth and took a walk from the shops through Carlisle Park, returning across Telford Bridge.
The first two photos below are views across Telford Bridge, looking towards St. Georges Church and The Chantry. The next three photos are views of Carlisle Park and the Courthouse.

14 August 2012 - Country Roads Near Mitford in Northumberland.
This afternoon we walked along some quiet country roads and tracks near Mitford, west of Morpeth. Below are five roadside views we took along the way.

01 August 2012 - Eden Valley, Cumbria.
Today we were walking in the Eden Valley in Cumbria where we spent a few days. Our walk took us over a bridge across the Settle to Carlisle Railway where it runs close to the River Eden. A few trains passed by including a steam hauled excursion travelling north to Carlisle. Quite a few photographers had stopped to photograph it, so we waited and took a few photos including the view seen in the first photo below
A normal passenger train and a freight train carrying sections of track also passed by as seen In the second and third photos below. The last two photos are views taken in High Stand Plantation through which we walked a little later.
