22 August 2011 - Newbiggin, Northumberland.
We mad an early morning visit to Newbiggin this morning to take some photos for our Northumberland photo website. There were very few people about, mostly fishermen and dog walkers.
The first two photos below are views of boat tractors parked on the beach. Taken about an hour apart, the colour of the sand appears quite different as the light changed from the warm morning glow.
The third photo is a view along the beach and the fourth photo is a view across the bay from the Church Point. The last photo is a view of the church taken from the rocks below.

14 August 2011 - Hauxley Beach, Northumberland.
This evening walked from the north end of Druridge Bay to Hauxley Beach. There was so much seaweed on the beach in some places that we walked up onto the path that runs along the dunes and shore.
The first photo below is a view looking north along the beach at Hauxley, followed by a view across the beach, seaweed and rocks to Coquet Island.
The third photo is a view from the dunes looking south across the cottages and village at Low Hauxley. The last photo is a view of the sun setting over the lake and nature reserve just south of the village.

09 August 2011 - Morpeth, Northumberland.
This afternoon we visited Morpeth to take some new photos of the River Wansbeck and Telford Bridge for our Northumberland photo website.
As we stopped to take photos from the bridge some canoeists passed below us heading downstream, as seen in the first photo below.
The next two photos are views across Telford Bridge looking towards Bridge Street and the last two photos are views from the nearby footbridge.
