30 Jan. 2006 - Newbiggin
Another very bright and cold morning produced more
good photo taking opportunities.
Photos of the church point at Newbiggin
were needed as stock photos. We also had requests for more photos
of Newbiggin on our Northumberland website so the two needs were
combined into one visit.
This photo shows the Lifeboat Station and boat
launching ramp.

29 Jan. 2006 - Bothal, near Morpeth
One of the hardest frosts for a long time accompanied
by bright sunshine made for great photo taking conditions.
A walk through the fields to Bothal
was very pleasant and produced some good opportunities. We've taken
many hundreds of photos at Bothal in all seasons and the different
conditions always produce something new.
This photo shows Bothal Castle across the frosty
fields.

26 Jan. 2006 - Cambois Beach
We ran a survey on our Northumberland photo website
asking which new locations people would like to see - Cambois and
the Wansbeck area was asked for by a number of respondents.
So, a visit to Cambois Beach on a cold but sunny morning
was needed.
This beach stretches from the River Wansbeck to the
River Blyth and is pleasant in itself, but the area behind bears
the scars of industry and the now demolished Blyth Power Station.
The photo here was taken from one of the car parking
areas along the dunes beside the beach.

17 Jan. 2006 - Tynemouth
This morning was a photo shoot at Tynemouth. We specifically
wanted some photos of the Collingwood Monument which we got just
before the sun disappeared.
We also walked along the North Pier and took more
photos for our Tyne Photos
website.
Here is a view of the River Tyne entrance, North
and South Piers.

14 Jan. 2006 - Blyth
This afternoon we went for a walk to the South Beach
at Blyth,
on the Northumberland Coast.
It was not long before sunset when we got there and
we walked along the beach to the South Pier then into the South
Harbour.
A fishing boat was unloading it's catch just as the
sun was setting. The sunset over the harbour was very spectacular
and colourful.
On the way out a fire engine and police car were going
into the harbour and then turned around and left - a false alarm?
Here is a photo of the sunset over the harbour
cranes.

11 Jan. 2006 - Berwick-upon-Tweed
Berwick was today's main destination to take photos
of the bridges for image library stock.
We always like visiting Berwick
as there are some great photo locations, pleasant walking and a
butcher who sells superb beef olives! All in all it makes for a
great day out combining work with pleasure.
Photos of the bridges were taken as well as sunset
at the pier. These are also for use on our Northumberland website.
In between, we visited Horncliffe, further up the
River Tweed to photograph the Union Suspension Bridge for our Boders
Photos website.
Here is a photo of the Quay Walls at Berwick.
